A Dream Remembered
a white train speeds
motionless along a track
on the passenger's deeds
they can't look back

a young child
sits with the old
her appearance so mild
her fate untold

ahead nothing
miles of track
train ahead is speeding
can't go back

a screeching halt
nothing there
flung and caught
people everywhere

crimson on white
train derailed
a traumatic sight
of the train that sailed

the young child gone
in her place stands
a woman alone
with crimson stained hands

the end of the ride
the child is gone
out with the tide
in washes oblivion
